Hello Manchester Crew,

The nightclub isn’t dead. No matter what they’ll try to tell you, Lab.Club’s founder Ben talks on this subject here. Manchester’s seen some major openings this year too, from Sankey’s (I’m sure you heard about that one) to Idra ‘The Factory Dancefloor’. If you’re keen to see what the new gen offers, I’ve done a round-up of upcoming events.

Onto this week and Friday presents a very special gig at The White Hotel which will be a journey through techno, house, ambient, IDM, electro, and leftfield. This is a selector’s paradise, even Shazam won’t help you here.

Saturday has some heavy picks. Firstly, the legendary Darren Styles & Gammer bringing a history of hardcore to Manchester - this one will be unmissable for the 90s ravers.

Secondly, we’ve got a heavy bass, grime and garage set from the vinyl master Neffa-T. If you’ve never seen this guy on the 3 vinyl mix, it’s something to behold.

My personal pick would be Cameo Blush @ Soup. His ‘Grace in Motion’ EP was my favourite drop from all of last year - a real musician’s electro album that doesn’t conform to a specific genre.

PS: If any of the above are sold out (very likely), it’s always worth checking TicketSwap or Twickets for legit resale tickets.
