Hello Manchester Crew,

Easter weekend is here and Manchester has delivered on every front. Friday runs from afternoon all the way to morning — my pick is Dance Now Talk Later at Niamos in Hulme, where Shy One celebrates new album Mali alongside Private Joy and Haçienda legend Hewan Clarke, raising funds to preserve the building itself. Proper night, proper cause. Later on, DjRUM b2b upsammy take over The White Hotel from midnight — leftfield electronics at its most thrilling, in exactly the right room.

Saturday has something for every corner of the scene. Nick Warren opens the Joshua Brooks basement at 4pm for a long, patient progressive house session, Takuya Nakamura brings his jungle-meets-jazz live show to Gorilla for just a fiver, and BENT's Spring Sanctum II takes queer hedonism out of the city entirely and into the Calder Valley at the Golden Lion in Todmorden. A lot on. Choose wisely.

Sunday deserves its own paragraph this Easter. Ghosts of Garage bring MJ Cole, Sticky and Matt Jam Lamont to Freight Island from noon, free entry at Freight’s first outdoor session of summer. Sunday Club launches its third season at The White Hotel with UKG polymath DJ Perception at 4pm. DJ Seinfeld takes The Loft all night long. And Nicolas Lutz closes the weekend from midnight with an extended dark minimal set til 7am. Skip the egg hunt.

Until next week, party people.

PS: If any of the above are sold out (very likely), it's always worth checking TicketSwap or Twickets for legit resale tickets.
