There’s two types of people on Valentine’s: those looking for a cosy night in and a steak dinner, or, you lot. The good news is we have a selection this week more diverse than a box of chocolates.

We’ve got some serious names on Friday, such as Bakey at Amber’s, Ross From Friends at The Loft, and OBSKÜR at Victoria Warehouse. Not forgetting ec2a label boss Dr Dubplate, at Amber’s on Saturday.

But if you’re looking for something a little more local and intimate, there’s a very special fundraiser for “Growing Together Levenshulme” where locals will be spinning Acid and House until 2 AM on Saturday at Honey Street Studio.

Finally, Disco always feels like the perfect genre for a Valentine’s Day weekender, upbeat, funky, and good vibes. The two to check out are the Disco Puss gang at Manchester’s only BYOB venue (Friday) or La Discothèque (Saturday), hosting Jayda G and Horse Meat Disco.

Oh, and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on tickets - Ben UFO has just announced a very special all-day and night event across two venues in April. Tickets will be released this Friday.
